Time Out Information

Your PERforM session will time out after 30 minutes of inactivity. Saving often while working in PERforM is recommended and will extend your session.

To prevent your session from timing out there must be communication with the PERforM server. To avoid a loss of data, it is advised that you perform one of the following actions:

  • Save
  • Navigate between screens within PERforM

Other actions, such as the following, do NOT communicate with the server and will NOT refresh your session:

  • Typing text
  • Viewing PERforM Reports
  • Using the Back button

A warning will be displayed when editing appraisals or objectives if your PERforM session has been inactive for 25 minutes.  Before your session times out, you will receive a notice that 5 minutes are remaining in your session.  This warning provides time for you to save your work and refresh (extend) your session.  However, if appropriate action is not taken and your session times out, any work that you did not save will be lost and cannot be recovered.
