2009 Enhancements

The release of the enhanced system includes expanded search functionality, as well as extended proxy functionality. You will find:

  • For Raters, the enhancement includes the addition of the ability to attach .docx and .xlsx file types to appraisals as well as an improved ability to attach files that have long file names to appraisals.

  • For Raters, the application has been modified to allow single special characters to be saved in the comment fields. An example would be “this & that” (“&” being the single special character).

  • For Raters, the “Create New Appraisal” link was removed from the Employee Performance Objectives page to reduce user confusion when switching between working with objectives and working with appraisals.

  • For Raters, the ‘View All Objectives Pending Employee Review” link and corresponding drop down menu item were removed to simplify the look of the home page and to eliminate the user confusion created by this view.

  • For all users, the enhancement will ensure that PERforM 3.0 will work with Internet Explorer version 8.0 (IE 8).

  • For Agency Administrators, System Administrators, and Proxy users, the employee first name field was added as an additional search criterion to the existing search appraisals functionality to help narrow searches.

  • For Proxy users, functionality was extended to allow these users to approve/complete special and probationary appraisals beyond the current and past year to include one additional year.  (For example, currently that would allow a proxy user to work with special/probationary appraisals from 2009, 2008, and 2007.)  For annual appraisals, proxy users will still only be able to alter the status for a current annual appraisal within the current rating period.
